How to Cook 1. In moderate heat, boil 8.8oz (250g) of water and add 0.8oz (25g) mirin, 0.8oz (25g) cooking sake, 0.7oz (20g) soy sauce, and 1.2oz (35g) white sugar. 2. Add 14oz (400g) of Japanese taro, cook on moderate heat with a lid for 20 minutes. 3. Reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes until 3.5oz (100g) of liquid remains.
